What we do
During times of need, the SAAF-NC provides financial assistance, guidance, and support to North Carolina National Guard service members and families.
From basic living essentials like food, shelter, and utilities, to medical emergencies, we’re there for service members who are always there for us, whether deployed or serving at home.
We provide grants and financial assistance
Through our grant program, we assist guardsmen and their families with day to day expenses.
We provide emergency use gift cards
Our program supported offices have a collection of grocery and gas cards for our soldiers, airmen and their families. All you have to do is ask.
We donate to other soldier and airmen inititives.
We have donated surpluses in donations to the following: soldier scholarship programs, the Friends of Airmen and Family Readiness Center, and the Kids on Guard Program.
We provide back-to-school support
Recognizing the added financial pressures when kids need school supplies, we provide back-to-school backpacks to ensure North Carolina National Guard families can celebrate without undue financial stress.
We empower the Save a Soldier Program
Through annual funding, SAAF-NC ensures North Carolina National Guard servicemen, servicewomen, and their families have access to essential resources when they need them most. By reducing financial barriers, SAAF-NC helps strengthen the resilience and well-being of those who serve our country, ensuring they receive the support they deserve.
We empower North Carolina National Guard Family Programs
This funding allows Family Programs to address the unique needs of service members and their loved ones, offering crucial resources such as financial assistance, deployment support, and community outreach. By empowering Family Programs with flexible funding, SAAF-NC helps ensure that National Guard families receive the care, guidance, and support they need to navigate the challenges of military life.
